Desolation of Smaug: Forest Daughter by roguearcanis Desolation of Smaug: Forest Daughter by roguearcanis
Taken at Sci Fi Weekender in Pwllheli, Wales, where our long-awaited Hobbit group finally came together for the first time. This costume was a massive learning curve for me, and I had an amazing time cosplaying Tauriel - mainly due to how brilliant the rest of the group was! We had our costumes complimented by Graham McTavish (Dwalin in the Hobbit films) and Royd Tolkien (JRR Tolkien's great grandson), and then went on to win SECOND PRIZE in the cosplay contest 8D We all put so much work into these costumes, and it was wonderful that they went down as well as they did.

I like it! Well, the green is a bit vivid to be used in a practical fighting situation but its an amazing shade of green. I also like the corset/vest thing-y (don't judge me, I don't remember what its called). Its a great representation of Tauriel! Well Done! :D

Thanks so much, hun :) I was worried for a while that the corset wouldn't come together - luckily it worked!
